I'm back in Los Angeles and at Warner Bros. Television.
I lived and worked in Phoenix, Arizona from 2003 to 2005 and Honolulu, Hawai`i from 2000
to 2003.
I was in Warner Bros. TV's Music Dept. from 1998 to 2000, having spent a total of
four years before that at Sony Pictures' TV Music Dept. I freelanced as Music Supervisor for Baywatch Hawai`i in the 1999/2000
television season. I also worked in fundraising for the L.A. County Museum of Art and the Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena,
California.
I graduated from UCLA's School of the Arts in 1990 with a B.A. in Dance. At UCLA, I received the Clifton
Webb Award for Dance, co-produced U.C. Dance Theatre, and was a two-year principal member of U.C.L.A. Dance Company. I produced,
choreographed and performed in dance and theatrical productions throughout California and on local L.A. basic cable television
thereafter, receiving critical success noted in the L.A. Times, the Daily News, DramaLogue, and other publications. I took
a very long hiatus from performance beginning in late 1993, and briefly returned with the Honolulu Dance Theatre in December,
2000. I have since retired.
I served as a volunteer docent for Frank Lloyd Wright's Hollyhock House in Hollywood,
California from 1991 to 1995. From 1993 to 1998, I served as a key volunteer for AIDS Walk L.A. and the L.A. AIDS Dance-a-thon.
I have been a board of directors member for the Dance Resource Center of Greater Los Angeles and the California Copyright
Conference. Also, I have served as a judging panelist for the Pasadena and Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Departments, in connection
with grant programs, and for NAMIC's (National Association for Minorities in Communications) 2000 Vision Awards.
Bruce, my partner of more than 8 years, and I met on the beach at Waikiki whilst I was on holiday
in June, 1998. He lived in Honolulu, I lived in L.A. However, as he was a flight attendant for Northwest
Airlines, we were able to have a long-distance relationship throughout the following two years, seeing each other at
least once a week. Then, we got tired of being separated--so much, so often. The only thing to do was to move
to Honolulu to be with him. The rest is...at the risk of sounding cliche...history.
